Robert Lawrence "Bob" Welch, Jr. is born August 31, 1945 .He was an American musician. A former member of Fleetwood Mac, Welch had a briefly successful solo career in the late 1970s. His singles included "Hot Love, Cold World", "Ebony Eyes", "Precious Love", and his signature "Sentimental Lady".Fleetwood Mac's career took off in the mid-1970s after

It later became the anthem for Bill Clinton's 2002 presidential campaign. “Hold Me” was a hit in 1982 and “Little Lies” in 1987.The artist's body was found inside his Nashville home today, police confirm, discovered there by his wife around noon local time. He reportedly shot himself in the chest and left a suicide note.

Following three years at the guitar and microphone with Fleetwood Mac, Welch formed British rock group Paris in 1976. He most well-known tracks include "Sentimental Lady" and "Ebony Eyes."

Bob Welch, a singer-guitarist who left Fleetwood Mac for a successful solo career with such 1970s hits as "Ebony Eyes" and "Sentimental Lady," was found dead in his Nashville home of an apparent suicide on Thursday. He was 65.

On June 7, 2012, Welch committed suicide in his Nashville home at around 12:15 p.m. He was found by his wife with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest; a suicide note had been left behind. Welch suffered from undisclosed health issues prior to his death.
