The Auburn Tigers football team represents Auburn University in the sport of American football. The Auburn Tigers compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Auburn has won two undisputed national championships (1957 and 2010) and produced three Heisman Trophy winners: quarterback Pat Sullivan in 1971, runningback Bo Jackson in 1985, and quarterback Cam Newton in 2010.
Auburn University has a very prestigious and great football program. Since its beginnings in 1892, Auburn football has a complete record of 712–400–47. They have won 2 national championships, 11 conference championships, 7 divisional championships, 7 perfect seasons, and had 3 Heisman Trophy winners. Also they compete in the iron bowl against the University of Alabama. This is the most intense rivalry in the state of Alabama and many fans go overboard. This was the case when one of Auburn's famous traditions known as rolling the corner, which is when they throw rolls of toilet paper on the trees on Toomer's corner.
