Xbox 720 release date tipped for 2013

Originally hoped to be heading for an E3 2012 unveiling, new reports have suggested Microsoft’s eagerly awaited next-generation console, the heavily rumoured Xbox 720, will hit stores during the autumn of 2013.

"Although not yet confirmed by Microsoft, we believe the next generation Xbox console could launch in the fall of 2013," Cowan & Company analyst Doug Creutz has said once again sparking excitement around the arrival of the next-gen PlayStation rival.

With Microsoft having recently confirmed that its much mooted Xbox 360 follow-on would not be heading for any sort of release in 2012, much attention has been turned to when the long talked about gamer would final enter the realms of reality.
